Introduction

I’ve always had a reputation as being a little mysterious. My parents and family don’t know that much about my daily existence; my friends know me better but are pretty much in the dark at the moment. I am farther away from these people than ever.

Also, I’ve been living in Poland for a year and a half. This is something I will probably never be able to convey properly to people back home.

Finally, I have too much free time and need a project to work on. So here you are: a guide to my life right now, piece by piece, to make up for all the letters I haven’t sent, pictures I haven’t taken, souvenirs I haven’t purchased. This is interesting for me, too. And if I ever want to write an autobiography, I will have my experience here already all written down.

So far I have four chapters for you:

• Working for a living. (February 22)
• Travel stories. (March 4)
• Food and drink as promised, but after some delay. (April 19)
